Volunteer Opportunities

You don’t need to be a fundraising expert to make a difference. GrowFundMe volunteers show up in a variety of ways depending on their skills and availability.

Ways to Volunteer

Thought Partner Buddy

Be a consistent presence for a nonprofit leader. You’ll meet monthly for check-ins, help think through challenges, and offer encouragement throughout the program.

Time Commitment: 2–4 hours/month

Fundraising Plan Reviewer

Review fundraising plans from 3–5 participating nonprofits and share constructive, practical feedback.

Time commitment: 3–4 hours total

Storytelling Reviewer

Attend practice pitch sessions and give feedback to help nonprofit leaders communicate their mission more powerfully.

Time commitment: 2–3 hours total

Evaluation Volunteer

Help the program team collect and summarize participant feedback to measure impact and improve future programming.

Time commitment: 6–8 hours total

Fundraising Committee Member

Help GrowFundMe raise sponsorships and build excitement around the end-of-program Showcase event.

Time commitment: 2–3 hours/month

Who Should Apply

You’re a good fit if you:

  • Have experience in fundraising, nonprofit work, communications, leadership, strategy, or community building
  • Want to support BIPOC-led organizations making change in King County
  • Can commit reliably to your role's time requirements
  • Are interested in learning alongside the nonprofits and supporting them as a peer, not an adviser

Volunteers must be, or become, an SVP Seattle Partner. If you're not yet a Partner, we'll connect with you about joining when you apply.
