Volunteer Opportunities
You don’t need to be a fundraising expert to make a difference. GrowFundMe volunteers show up in a variety of ways depending on their skills and availability.

Ways to Volunteer
Committee Member + Nonprofit Partner
The core liaison to your nonprofit partner, and a leadership role in the program. You'll help guide and shape the program as we design this second year, help move your nonprofit through the program via a planned assessment and resource-matching process, and be their central connector and support as they make it to the June Showcase.
Responsibilities: Attend monthly committee meetings, attend monthly program cohort meetings, and connect with your partnered nonprofit regularly throughout the program to offer support, resources, and information.
Time Commitment: 4–6 hours/month
Event Team
Help raise sponsorships and champion the June 2027 Showcase event, recruit folks to attend, set up the event space, welcome people, and more.
Time commitment: 2-3 hours/month
Skilled Volunteer Pool Member
Offer your skills in a pool of volunteers to be accessed by nonprofit cohort members throughout the program (financial, legal, strategic planning, fundraising, grant writing, communications, corporate engagement, board building, and other skills are all useful).
Time commitment: 1–2 hours/month
Who Should Apply
You’re a good fit if you:
- Have experience in fundraising, nonprofit work, communications, leadership, strategy, or community building
- Want to support BIPOC-led organizations making change in King County
- Can commit reliably to your role's time requirements
- Are interested in learning alongside the nonprofits and supporting them as a peer, not an adviser
Volunteers must be, or become, an SVP Seattle Partner. If you're not yet a Partner, we'll connect with you about joining when you apply.
