Catalyzing Community-Led Change

GrowFundMe

A six-month cohort that strengthens small, BIPOC-led nonprofits and unlocks new funding, visibility, and lasting community investment.

What is GrowFundMe?

A Practical, Community-Centered Path to Growth.

Across six months, cohort members participate in focused workshops, one-on-one guidance, and peer learning that build practical fundraising tools, new connections, and confidence in their message. The program culminates with a community celebration where all funds raised are shared equally among the participating nonprofits.

GrowFundMe is a signature initiative of SVP Seattle designed to generate new funding for community-led organizations beyond our core grantmaking. Piloted in January 2026, the first cohort included seven organizations serving King County.

Why it Matters

Community-Rooted Organizations Are Leading Change.

Small, BIPOC-led nonprofits are advancing climate justice, education equity, youth development, and community well-being across our region. Yet they often receive a fraction of philanthropic funding and operate with limited access to capital, networks, and visibility.

GrowFundMe responds to that gap by strengthening fundraising clarity, building practical tools, and mobilizing community support so these organizations can grow sustainably and lead lasting change.
